Colloidalcrystallized sphalerite with little attached matrix. This is the variety of the species sometimes called brunckite. in good condition.Broken Hill is a historic mining city located in far western New South Wales, Australia. Founded in 1883 after the discovery of a massive, boomerang-shaped ore deposit on an isolated ragged outcrop, it grew to become home to one of the largest deposits of silver, lead, and zinc in the world.
