Longyan is known and appreciated for its sculptural Fluorite specimens, sometimes appearing almost as like bonsai trees. The locale has produced mostly cubic, green and blue Fluorites. Mostly on a host matrix, precipitated on in generations that were likely separated by thousands of years. The generational growth coupled with a large availability of limestone made for the perfect paragenesis to make these specimens artistic by nature.
