So often, lepidolite is a side character in the story, and not often enough is it the main attraction and event—but this relatively new find from Pech set new standards for top-tier crystallized examples of lepidolite. This statement piece features thick, silky, pearlescent, lepidoblastic 'books' of soft lilac lepidolite fanning outward like geometric rose petals, juxtaposed with stark, contrasting snow-white mounds of bladed cleavelandite in the crests and accents. The lepidolite crystals fan out extravagantly, creating maximum dramatic effect with a very architectural structure, a refreshing departure from the jumbled, chaotic pegmatite clusters so common from this locality. Sharp, textbook examples of large, high-luster lepidolite crystals like this rarely hit the market, and this would make a great opportunity to add an unusual species to the collection. From a small find of 2025.
