Blue micro crystals of cornetite across the top of matrix with green botryoidal cornwallite. In good condition. The Majuba Hill Mine in Pershing County, Nevada, was discovered in 1907 and initiated sporadic production around 1914. It experienced primary active periods during World War I (1916 to 1919) and World War II (reactivated in 1943 for tin and copper), before largely winding down significant historic operations by the mid-20th century, though modern exploration continues today. Geologically, the deposit is centered on a complex Tertiary rhyolite stock and hydrothermal-magmatic tourmaline breccia system, featuring multi-stage mineralization that includes copper, tin, silver, and gold associated with extensive tourmalinization, sericitization, and stockwork veinlets.
