This exceptional new-find specimen from Yaogangxian showcases a striking formation of deep blue Fluorite crystals with highly unusual, irregularly spotted phantom zoning. The internal phantoms appear as vivid patches and clouds beneath the crystal surfaces, creating remarkable depth and a constantly changing pattern as the specimen is viewed from different angles.
The Fluorite displays a rich blue to blue-violet color, with sharp geometric faces, contrasting frosted areas and numerous transparent windows revealing the intricate internal zoning. The crystals are densely arranged over a sparkling Quartz matrix, with the bright Quartz providing a dramatic contrast to the saturated dark-blue Fluorite.
What makes this specimen particularly special is the character of the phantom patterning. Rather than a simple uniform band or single internal zone, the phantoms form complex, scattered structures that give the crystals an almost painterly appearance.
