Fluorite from UK, England, Rookhope, Frazer's Hush Mine
An attractive and richly textured specimen from the famous Frazer’s Hush Mine, featuring a cluster of pale lavender-grey fluorite cubes adorned with brilliant metallic galena and delicate coatings of sparkling quartz and white calcite. The fluorite crystals display pleasing translucency and subtle colour zoning, with sharp cubic forms characteristic of the locality.
Bright, reflective galena crystals are scattered throughout the specimen, providing striking contrast against the softer tones of the fluorite. Fine quartz druse adds a glittering lustre across the matrix, while calcite highlights the crystal edges and vugs, enhancing the overall aesthetic appeal.
The combination of fluorite, galena, quartz and calcite represents a classic Northern Pennines mineral assemblage, beautifully displayed in a compact cabinet-sized piece. A fine example from one of Weardale's most sought-after collecting localities, offering excellent visual appeal and mineralogical interest.
