These large, stark and dramatic Babingtonite crystals from China are just phenomenal and represent the best of species from finds in China around the early 2000s. This aesthetic cluster of sharp, thick, tabular, lustrous, jet-black crystals vary in size from 2 to 3.7 cm in length and 1 to 1.7 cm in thickness, and there a dozen larger crystals in this super attractive cluster along with a few smaller ones at the base. The jet-black crystals are beautifully striated parallel to their length and the terminations are perfect and lustrous too with subtle geometric patterns atop, some resembling almost a "herringbone" pattern. There are a few small patches of mint-green Prehnite along with a few Quartz crystals that attractively accessorize the piece. This is a well-balanced and significant specimen.
