There are no points of attachment.Narsarsuk, located near Igaliku in the Kujalleq municipality of southern Greenland, is one of the most famous and mineralogically diverse pegmatite localities in the world. Geologically, the area is situated within the Ilímaussaq alkaline complex and surrounding Gardar province, formed during the Mesoproterozoic era through extensive magmatic activity that produced rare-element-rich alkaline intrusions. Historically, the exceptional mineral occurrences at Narsarsuk were first thoroughly investigated and documented by Danish geologists and mineral collectors in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, leading to the discovery of numerous unique species. Mineralogically, the flat-lying pegmatite sills have yielded a staggering array of rare silicate, carbonate, and phosphate minerals, including world-class specimens of elpidite, aegrine, microcline, and natrolite, making it a legendary site for systematic mineralogy.
