Illinois Gold meets violet geometry

Illinois gold meets violet geometry

A beautiful fluorite with calcite from the Minerva No. 1 Mine, Cave-In-Rock, Illinois—showing that iconic golden core framed by soft purple zoning. The stepped cubic growth creates a crisp, pixelated landscape, while the honey-yellow translucency glows with incredible depth under light.

Perched on top, the bladed calcite adds a sculptural crown—bringing contrast, texture, and perfect balance to the composition.

Classic Minerva character… color, form, and presence all dialed in.

Fluorite specimen from Minerva No. 1 Mine, Hardin County, Illinois, USA.
