A classic combination from this area in China, featuring iron stained quartz points shooting up from a matrix that has sharp blades of dark hematite with a mirror luster. Minor calcite is present, and the specimen has an aesthetic silhouette. In great condition, I note only a couple broken quartz points that do not detract. There is a bubbly goethite layer on some of the hematite that gives it a unique appearance. Ex: Gene Schlepp
