The Ojuela mine, renowned among collectors globally, is arguably Mexico’s premier mineral locality and certainly its most cherished. It boasts over a hundred species, including the world‘s finest adamite (in a stunning variety of colors and forms), legrandite, paradamite, and more.

This is one of my very first adamites and it still in my collection, represents the classic habit. An interesting story behind: my friend asked me what's my favorite piece on mindat (i didn't answer lol, it's gonna spend days), and he showed me a picture that is the specimen (Specimen ID: MYW-EY2) in Rock Currier collection. Just few days after I purchased this piece. When I saw the photo, and he saw what I showed him we were both SHOCKED. Small world, large world, who knows.

Adamite, 3.2 cm, Ojuela mine, Mapimí, Durango, Mexico.
