Rosasite on Limonite Matrix — Ojuela Mine, Mapimí, Durango, Mexico

This specimen displays richly colored teal‑blue rosasite forming rounded botryoidal clusters across a dark limonite matrix. The surface shows the classic velvety texture typical of Ojuela rosasite, with subtle internal fibrous structure visible in the crevices under magnification.

The color saturation is strong, shifting between blue and blue‑green depending on lighting, which is characteristic of copper‑zinc carbonates from this locality. The contrast between the mineralization and the matrix gives the piece excellent visual depth and display presence.

A great example of Ojuela rosasite, ideal for collectors of Mexican minerals, secondary copper species, and botryoidal mineral habits.
