Dimensions: 4.4 x 3.5cm Location: Vaca Morta Mine, Boquiera, Bahia province, Brazil Dumortierite is a truly extraordinary mineral in inclusion in quartz, unfortunately quartz crystals with many defects often have to be recut and polished, which takes away the magic from this superb combination. Small unreworked samples like this one are therefore very much appreciated! Dimensions without the acrylic base, which is supplied with the mineralogical specimen. The mineral is not glued to the base .
