Fluorite with Arsenopyrite

A glassy beautiful gem blue cubic crystal of fluorite to 2.4 cm on edge set up on a cluster of bright metallic arsenopyrite crystals. This is in super condition and very pretty.The Yaogangxian Mine in Hunan Province, China, is a well known tungsten mining locality that has been worked since the mid 20th century. The deposit consists of hydrothermal veins cutting granitic rocks and is rich in tungsten minerals such as wolframite. The mine is also famous among mineral collectors for producing high quality specimens including fluorite, quartz, arsenopyrite, and cassiterite. Many specimens from Yaogangxian are noted for their sharp crystal form and aesthetic associations, making the locality one of the most important modern sources of fine mineral specimens.
