Apatite

This is one of those specimens that I didn't quite understand when it was offered to me at first. Only about half a year later I understood the significance and rarity of this piece. This another one of those things that you cannot find today on the market because the production was little and long ago. It's a doubly terminated apatite crystal sitting on a piece of matrix and hugged by a mica carpet. What makes this material unique is not only the locality but the alexandrite effect - it changes its color from yellowish under artificial light to rosé-wine color under incandescent light. I love this piece now.
