Phosphophyllite from Bolivia, Potosí, Cerro de Potosí, Unificada Mine
11
I acquired this piece during the 2024 Denver Show.
Phosphophyllite is known as one of the Holy Grails of mineral collecting for many reasons. This piece has superb color, clarity and form. The minor sphalerite on the back gives it great contrast as it is technically a matrix piece. Finding good phosphos are definitely quite challenging today. Glad I picked this one up!
