Fluorite - Silbermühlen Adit, St Michaelis Mine, Germany

A single, forest-green and water-clear fluorite crystal in a size of 2.9 cm. Numerous smaller and parallel grown fluorite cubes are covering the larger cubo-octahedron. The whole piece is nearly a complete floater with a re-crystallized / self-healed back. The piece comes from a very small recent find in the Silbermühlen Adit, Annaberg-Frohnau, Ore Mts., Saxony. The fluorite has no internal inclusions or flaws. It is a very clear crystal with a deep green color (gem quality). Pictures were taken when backlit the specimen.
