Rammelsbergite
Rammelsbergite, 10.1 cm, from Eisleben, Mansfeld Basin, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. Mining for silver in the Mansfeld area began around 1200, and continued until 1969, when the mines were finally closed. The Mansfeld basin (type locality for rammelsbergite) includes the towns of Eisleben, Helbra, Hettstedt and Mansfeld.
