It is not very often that we come across intensely coloured gemmy Aquamarine crystals from Vietnam, but that is exactly what we have here with this miniature Beryl crystal group from Quy Chau District in Nghe An Province. Off matrix, the main crystal reaches 3 cm in length and has a slightly shorter prismatic crystal running up one side as a very slightly divergent growth, but at first glance looks almost parallel. More noticeable is a 'V'-shaped spray of two more diverging gemmy Aquamarine crystals attached, one at 90 degrees, to the side of the main crystal. All of the Aquamarine crystals are nicely transparent and present unusual three-sided sloping pyramidal terminations. The main crystal features a small (2 to 3 mm long) black prism of Schorl resting upon one of the sloping termination faces. An extremely fine, and rare, small miniature gemmy Aquamarine from Vietnam.
