Spread over a cabinet-sized matrix of transparent, yellow Fluorite are several resplendent cubes of Galena, which is fairly uncommon for this famous locality, and a secondary generation of transparent, purple Fluorite cubes. The Galena crystals, reaching up to 1.6 centimeters, are sharply-formed and modified with octahedral faces; each crystal has a characteristic steel-grey color and strong metallic (even mirror) luster. This specimen backlights very well as it illuminates the Fluorite matrix, providing a luminous yellow backdrop that highlights the crystals on the front of the specimen. This piece comes with a custom acrylic base.
