The Halite occurrences of the lesser-known Rudna Mine are an oddity as far as this species goes. All throughout, the Halite in this specimen boasts a very atypical mint-green color; many of the crystals have a nice frosty luster with some areas being wonderfully water-clear and gemlike. Strangely enough, some of the crystals reach upward in sharp geometric spires that add a greater three-dimensional effect to the specimen; if you look closely, a handful of these crystals have grown in a way that is reminiscent of a "Faden" habit, even showing very subtle, vertical "threads" at their centers. This piece comes with a custom acrylic base.
