Interconnecting mounds of sharp, stepped Calcite rhombohedrons compose the majority of this massive specimen, weaving in every direction and covered in a thin layer of olive-green Duftite. Each of the Calcite crystals are colorless, have a pearly-shine, and translucent to transparent, and backlights very well with the Duftite coating. The Duftite is covered with thousands of scintillating microcrystals. This is a classic and well-known Tsumeb combination, and Tsumeb has some of the finest Duftite examples in the world, which doesn't occur in such significant amounts anywhere else. Under a strong shortwave UV light, the Calcite strongly fluoresces a fiery pinkish-red color. This piece comes with a custom acrylic base.
