A group of perfect undamaged crystals of transparent smoky quartz from a cleft in the Alpine rocks.

Crystals of quartz such as this are extracted from lens-like cavities and clefts on steep peaks in the French and Swiss Alps by specialist mineral collectors who are also skilled climbers.

Location: From Fiescher Glacier, Valais, Bernese Alps, Switzerland

Measures: 18.2 x 14,5 x 8,8 cm in total size.
