Several rich nickel-green dodecahedral crystals of the uncommon Garnet species Uvarovite, measuring to 1.1 cm, protrude through white-translucent Quartz covering a matrix of massive, darker smoky Quartz. This delightful small miniature is from the polymetallic Outokumpu Deposit in Finland, a deposit rich in copper, zinc, cobalt, nickel, silver and gold. A choice miniature.
