Description
A superb rarity of the nickel-antimony sulphide ullmannite from Sardinia in Italy. Such specimens were found in only a very few pockets in the 1800s, and I am told one later find in the early 1900s. This miniature features sharp, lustrous cubic crystals to 0.7 cm, intergrown, to make an attractive animal-shaped form. This is one of the very few examples of attractive well-formed crystals since most ullmanites are massive or crystals are embedded inside of ore.
