In a striking find from Huanggang, these Fluorite coated Quartz are as fascinating as they are beautiful. Microcrystalline and vibrantly purple Fluorite embedded in the surface of "Candle" Quartz (so called because it is a waxy looking Quartz when uncoated). The Fluorite evidently overgrew the Quartz as precipitate, slowly forming from the offgassing of nearby hydrothermal activity.
