Quartz from Madzharovo deposit, Haskovo Province, Bulgaria

A very attractive specimen of well-developed quartz crystals with distinct pyramidal terminations and numerous small secondary growths. The crystals display a contrasting honey-yellow coloration caused by a limonite coating. Numerous fine pyromorphite microcrystals can be observed at the base and along the edges, together with areas coated in black manganese oxides.

One of my favorite specimens, personally collected from a pocket in the Madzharovo area in 2021.

Madzharovo deposit, Madzharovo Municipality, Haskovo Province, Bulgaria
