Rhodochrosite from the historic Inakuraishi Mine, Hokkaido, Japan.

The Inakuraishi Mine was a famous rhodochrosite locality in Japan and was closed in 1984.

This 462 g specimen features numerous pink rhodochrosite crystals forming a cluster across the upper portion. Rhombohedral crystal forms can be observed throughout the cluster, while the lower portion displays a distinct layer composed of fine crystalline rhodochrosite.

The specimen has an attractive combination of pink color, crystal texture, and natural matrix, making it an excellent example of rhodochrosite from this historic Japanese locality.
