Rhodochrosite from Grube Wolf, Herdorf, siegerland, Germany

Crystals grown as cones in raspberry to rose red color. In several parts of the matrix the clear Rhodochrosite crystals are contrasting on the dark matrix even we can find a hidden gem. Good specimens from the Wolf Pit are named as the best rhodochrosites in Europe and have meanwhile increased in value considerably due to the hopelessness of new finds.
