Salammoniac
Skeletal, gemmy crystal(s) of salammoniac. This piece is from the underground coal fires in the Ravat Village, Tajikistan, which is countinuing to burn for over 50 years now. Skeletal growth occurs when the solution is highly concentrated and the mineral wants to maximize itself by only developing the edges and not filling in faces. In this case the crystals grow parallel to each other. A great example of this salt.
