Pyrite from Pakistan
“Remnant”
A sculptural pyrite specimen from Garam Chashma, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, exhibiting a rare preserved structure formed through gradual mineral replacement.
The piece displays a complex, botryoidal surface with microcrystalline pyrite developed layer by layer, replacing an earlier organic form. Across portions of the surface, subtle iridescence creates a natural spectrum of color—shifting between gold, copper, green, and violet under changing light.
This interplay of structure and color is not the result of coating, but of the crystal development itself, making each viewing angle slightly different from the last.
