Quartz, Barite
Quartz with barite, 12 cm, from the Jebel Irhoud, Morocco; collected in 1984. Jebel Irhoud was a totally unexplored area at the end of the 70s, although very nice combos of red quartz and orange barite were easy to find there. It took no great effort to collect this piece: a nice token of those days when finding fine pieces at Jebel Irhoud was much easier than it is now.
