A rare crystal of gem thaumasite, found only in a few pockets in this quality in the early to mid-1980s, and not seen since. This very rare species can also be cut into gemstones, a fate of many fine crystals at the time. Few enough good specimens survive, and we see them turn up only rarely. This specimen is unusual in that it is a cluster with a matrix-like pedestal, rather than just the usual single.
