These new specimens come from a small production at an artisanal small specimen mine in the Republic of the Congo, and they are unique compared to older specimens from Montana for this association against powder blue hemimorphite. This particular piece, however, is not just on hemimorphite, but sitting in a protected pocket of it! It is a whole natural cavity, showing sparkling clusters of this rare copper-zinc mineral to 1 cm. Awesome contrast makes this leap out to the eye (and the crystals are so nicely protected, as well!).
