An interesting large thumbnail of micro-crystals of glassy, fawn Hemimorphite coating a twined Calcite crystal from the Golconda mine near to Hopton in Derbyshire, England. This specimen was collected on 4th May 1986 from the East Flats on the 50-fathom level of Golconda mine (a fathom is six feet or 1.83 m). Although the Calcite is virtually completely hidden by the Hemimorphite, the re-entrant angle between the twins is clearly visible.
