Sprays of several thick, resplendent, needle-like Quartz crystals (up to a height of 10.3 centimeters) line the top side of this specimen, fanning across a proportional, milky-white Quartz matrix. The Quartz has a textbook Dauphiné habit, showing pristine terminations dominated by a sharp rhombohedral face; each crystal is completely water-clear and glassy, so much so that the hundreds of fine striations along the crystals' side faces are perfectly visible from every angle. Some of the larger Quartz crystals are detailed with handfuls of very shallow aggregates and contacts, which are mainly reserved to the backmost crystal faces. This piece comes with a custom acrylic base.
