These aptly nicknamed Amethyst and Calcite "skunks" from Uruguay are extremely sought after and very difficult to find on the market, even more so as when as aesthetic and well-formed as this particular specimen. Featured at the dead-center of this specimen is a pristine, translucent white Calcite scalenohedron (measuring 9.4 x 7.4 centimeters) that stands out perfectly against a backdrop of glassy, deep purple Amethyst crystals. Giving the piece its nickname, three of the Calcite's edges have thick indentations layed with dark grey Goethite microcrystals and dazzling epitaxial Quartz. Under shortwave UV light, the Calcite fluoresces a soft pink-orange hue. This piece comes with a custom acrylic base.
