Rich light olive-green sprays of acicular Olivenite pervade a long and narrow rusty orange-tan, limonite-coated Quartz veinstone matrix. The Olivenite forms rich clustered sprays of 1 cm and over, with a bright silky lustre. One of the classic arsenate mineral species from Wheal Gorland in St. Day, Gwennap parish, Cornwall, just a little to the east of Redruth.
