Nagar (Nagir), Hunza Valley, Gilgit District, Gilgit-Baltistan (Northern Areas), Pakistan
Impressive and sculptural large 360-degree specimen of numerous, intergrown Aquamarine crystals nicely complemented with pearlescent Muscovite plates from finds at the well-known Nagar District of Pakistan. The very glassy and lustrous, textbook hexagonal Aquas are gemmy to translucent and have variable fine ice-blue to light blue color saturation. The large, prism on the front is 3.2 cm. The numerous, glassy crystals on the backside add an enticing aspect to the piece. Mass is 1.4 pounds. A rich, showy and highly representative large example from the noted locale.
