This Denton Mine fluorite is the kind of old-school Illinois eye candy that instantly stops collectors in their tracks. Razor-sharp cubic growth framed by glowing neon violet edges surrounds a warm golden-honey core, creating insane internal contrast and depth from every angle. The zoning on this one is absolutely wild — almost like stained glass trapped inside fluorite.
The translucency and saturation are next level in hand, with rich cobalt-purple edges fading into smoky amber interiors under light. Add the stepped phantom-like cubic patterns and glassy luster across the faces, and the entire piece feels architectural and alive at the same time.
Classic Harris Creek Subdistrict material with that unmistakable Denton Mine glow collectors obsess over. Pieces with this kind of color separation, sharp geometry, and clean presentation are becoming harder and harder to source.
Ex. Ernie Collins specimen — carrying serious old-school Illinois fluorite pedigree.
