Cranberry red color and extreme bright internal sparkle make this a superb single gem crystal from the modern-era finds at this famous Malkhan location. The deposit is now mostly mined out; and certainly specimen production out of Russia should be difficult in the future. This is from the widely documented digs from around 2008-2018, as seen in various articles in both Rocks & Minerals and a special issue of the Mineralogical Record by the miners and other contributors documenting this world class discovery: The Malkhan Pegmatite District (June 2019; Mineralogical Record Vol. 50, No. 3 May - June 2019). This crystal has a particularly strong, vivid brightness to it, glows when backlit, and has the top cranberry color you would want in a (more expensive) old Jonas Mine specimen. 53 grams.
