There are four different and incredibly beautiful hues of blue on this alluring Hemimorphite specimen from the Malipo Mine in China, from older finds circa 2010. The rolling carpet of sparkly Hemimorphite starts with a pale sky blue with whitish overtone at the very top and transitions into a diffuse, sky-blue band and then a rich deep sky-blue band where larger botryoids are present and crease in the topography of the piece occurs followed by a similarly colored layer but it displays whitish highlights. All of the different colored "layers" have a lovely translucence and a uniform sparkle from tiny, individual crystal faces along the surface that add greatly to the appearance. The depth and character of this small cabinet specimen create an excellent aesthetic!
