Phosphohedyphane with Wulfenite$2,250.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
Phosphohedyphane is an uncommon calcium-lead chlorophosphate and this is a rich miniature! Numerous rounded, whitish crystals of Phosphohedyphane to 2 mm are mounded atop one another to produce attractive aggregates on an altered gray and tan matrix. In addition to the great Phosphohedyphane crystals, there is a small cluster of tabular, transparent, pale yellowish Wulfenite crystals on the top edge (not mentioned on the Robert Reynolds label) that really stand out and complement the piece well. A rare and unusual combination piece from the Blue Bell Mine in California. Ex. Robert Reynolds collection. As there are no prior labels, and this was from a location that Bob visited often and had dozens of field-collected flats from, we believe he self-collected these. He was the curator of the San Bernardino County Museum and in that role, had unusually good access to sites.
