A colorful, stout, gemmy Elbaite Tourmaline crystal with a somewhat complex termination and the color palette typical of Barra do Salinas. Tourmalines like this aren't uncommon from this locality today, however, this one has truly saturated color and is augmented by a patch of small Lepidolite crystals. The lower third of the crystal is characterized by variegated bands of light pink and a miny olive green that transitions abruptly to an exquisite, totally gem, medium green all the way through to the termination. It is striated parallel to its length and also exhibits a superb pyramidal termination. It is enhanced by a 1.5 cm, irregular patch of lavender Lepidolite on one side. The mass of this beautiful miniature is 20.6 grams.
