Tiny, glistening, lavender-colored Topaz crystals have completely replaced a pair of Augelite crystals on this lovely piece from Mundo Nuevo. The largest Topaz after Augelite pseudomorph measures 4.5 cm from end to end and the base of it shows some remnant, whitish green Augelite that transitions quickly into the lavender Topaz pseudomorph. The other pseudomorph is much smaller at 2 cm and shows a partial cast at one end. Both pseudos are penetrated by several, elongate, slender prismatic and transparent Quartz crystals to nearly 3 cm. This attractive piece is in excellent condition and sits up nicely for display. It is one of the more aesthetic examples from a small group of material brought out of Peru sometime before 2020, by dealer (and Peruvian specialist) Jaroslav Hyrsl. They remain incredibly rare, and this is not only aesthetic as a miniature, but something unusual that we have simply not seen from anywhere in the world. Most people would never guess what it was. I admit, I even had to ask.
