Yaogangxian, one of the great mines of recent times, has become one of the world's foremost producers of fine-quality Bournonite specimens. This choice miniature features a cluster of splendent, metallic, silvery-grey crystals intergrown at 90 degrees. The largest Bournonite is 3.6 cm and doubly-terminated, and the really interesting arrangement of the crystals is rather striking with its sharp, clean appearance. In fact, on first glance it made me think of the refinery ship in the movie 'Alien'. And in spite my strange but true rumination, it's still an excellent and attractive pure Bournonite miniature! The geometry on this piece is striking.
