On the left, the thumbnail matrix piece features a sharp, highly lustrous, orange-colored tabular crystal of wulfenite, aesthetically perched on calcite and oxidized matrix. Sitting in the middle of the set, on the right, are two sharp, lustrous, translucent, richly reddish-orange tabular crystals, both free of matrix. There is roughness and some contact on the edges of the specimen and crystal pieces, but the luster, sharpness, and color are all good across the board, and in an educational set, it is a SUPERB representative of the material.
