Tucson, Arizona, USAAn extremely rare fragment of vein material from the short-lived Juno mine, Tennant Creek, Northern Territory, Australia, containing the self-named copper lead bismuth sulphide selenite, Junoite, with Magnetite. Named in 1975, the material bearing this, and the two other species first described from there (Pekoite and Proudite) was found on the 700 Level c. 1971. Embedded in a resin mount, this 8.5 mm x 5 mm cut sample has been polished for reflected light microscope studies, or analysis by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). The lifespan of Juno mine was 1965-1981. Note, the measurements represent the polished section as a whole, rather than the individual grain within it.
