Scheelite crystals from the Mount Xuebaoding area, China are considered the world’s best examples of this unusual and collectible Tungsten mineral. This cabinet-sized specimen features a large deep orange crystal perched aesthetically on muscovite / goshenite crystal matrix. Ideal display aesthetics from multiple angles make this a fantastic Xuebaoding scheelite. The locality is now essentially closed and mined out, and these are surely to become modern Chinese mineral classics. Some chatter on the top, as pictured, but otherwise in fine condition.
