Scheelite
A quite remarkable large cabinet specimen of crystallised Scheelite forming intergrown octahedral crystals from Mount Xuebaoding in Pingwu County, Sichuan Province, China. This heavy, matrixless specimen, is a mass of translucent burnt golden-orange pyramidal crystals with edges up to and exceeding 5 cm in length, some of which become semi-transparent in areas where the colour intensifies. Under short wave ultraviolet (SWUV) light the Scheelite fluoresces bright cream to snowy-white. An outstanding specimen of Scheelite which will look superb on display under white light or UV. Please note there may be an added postage charge due to the weight of this specimen.
